Allawi Campaigns Nonstop Everywhere, Except in Iraq………….

Iyad Allawi has been campaigning very hard for the coming Iraq elections. He has been working harder than any other candidate. As an example: he has covered thousands of miles flying across the neighboring Arab countries, meeting with and soliciting the support of the oligarchs and potentates. His campaign has taken him from shores of the Persian-American Gulf, to Riyadh, to Mecca, then Jordan, then some more. Mr. Allawi must have a huge campaign chest for spending on such trips.
He has also been campaigning very hard in the studios of Alarabiya (Saudi) television. Mr. Allawi has been campaigning so hard among the Arab potentates and their media, assuring them that he is the right candidate that will do their bidding, that he has forgotten to campaign among the very people whose leader he loves to be but he will not be, not if most of the Iraqi people have anything to do about it. It seems that he has forgotten to campaign in much of Iraq.
Now if they had elections in Saudi Arabia, and he were not perceived as a Shi'a, they might allow him to run for something.
Maybe he thinks if there is enough mayhem in Iraq after the elections, then he can be reappointed.
Cheers
