Iran Develops New Satellites, Fuel Still Short, Mooning Mullahs………..

Iran has successfully test-fired three satellites and a satellite carrier dubbed "Simorgh" on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Al-Alam reported. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has unveiled the domestically-built technology as part of a wider space program. The three indigenous satellites - Tolou, Mesbah 2 and Navid - are telecommunication satellites. Officials say Simorgh can carry a satellite weighing 220 pounds up to 310 miles above the Earth. Iran sent its first domestically made telecommunications satellite into orbit last year.Tehran needs the satellites to monitor natural disasters in the earthquake-prone nation and improve its telecommunications……..”

Okay, they have moved forward on this and other technology fronts, while other Middle East countries still import plastic bins. But, why not put some of that effort in producing refined fuel that is in short supply in Iran? Many people would probably prefer to pay less for their fuel than send a mullah to the moon. Then they’ll have mooning mullahs. Well, maybe not,
Cheers
