"Palestinian fighters claimed Tuesday they had sent a barrage of floating barrels filled with explosives toward Israel’s beaches to avenge the killing of a Hamas leader in the Gulf emirate of Dubai. Police cordoned off beaches, ordered surfers out of the water and deployed robotic bomb squads along a large swath of southern Israel’s coastline after two explosive-laden barrels washed up on shore, ready to blow up. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu blamed Hamas and hinted at retaliation. Abu Saed, a spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees, a Gaza faction with close ties to Hamas, said the attack was meant to avenge the killing last month of Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh, a veteran Hamas operative who Israeli defense officials say was involved in smuggling rockets into Gaza………”

Floating bombs to Israeli shores? Is that the best Hamas can do? A bunch of floatingfuckingbombs? This sounds like a prank, almost the kind of prank I used to pull in high school but with rodents and fuzzy large bugs instead of bombs.
I hate to quote Saad Zaghloul so soon after I did last weeks, so I won’t repeat his lament to his wife Saffiya about it all being useless and hopeless.
