Jordan’s Sweet-Talking Interrogators, What about that Humor………..
“According to current and former American officials, the special partnership between the two countries goes back at least three decades. The relations have tightened recently so that the CIA head station in Amman has complete freedom to enter Jordanian Intelligence headquarters…… Although Jordanian intelligence is accused by human rights organizations for “torture”, an American intelligence official said that the Jordanians are being used in areas of Afghanistan and Yemen because Jordanians understand “evil people” and their culture. So, it takes one to understand one???
They certainly are renowned for their skills at interrogation, to the extent that many Arab oligarchies have hired some of them as “interrogators”. They can make you talk alright, whether you have something relevant to say or not. If you have nothing relevant to tell them, you are sure to make something up because you don’t want to disappoint them. No sir, you don’t.
I am still concerned about that lacking sense of humor in Jordan; it may explain a lot of things here. I am beginning to believe that people who have no sense of humor make very "good" interrogators, but is that a good career path?
