Casus Belli, New Lockerbie Investigation and Ghosts of Iran Air 655, How a Westerner is Worth 50 Times More…………

“It is possible that the Libyan authorities bought their freedom and lifted the unfair blockade by paying these amounts of money and destroying their wMD. What is certain is thet Libya now faces a new extortion operation, as the British police is set to reopen the investigation into Lockerbie……..
The reopening of the case happens t the time of a worsening Israeli-American crisis with Iran because of her refusal to hand over her enriched uranium to Russia and France and the new US-Israeli air maneuvers a few days ago. We are looking at a new dirty war of intelligence that is preparing for a new war in our region. One that will have hundreds of thousands of victims. The goal will be the same as in Iraq and Afghanistan, to secure Israel and the sources of oil. A British network is preparing a report that that purports to prove that Iran, Syria, and the PFLP were involved in the Pan Am Lockerbie bombing as revenge for the US Navy shooting down an Iranian civilian passenger airliner before that….......” al-Quds al-Arabi

I wrote about the Air connection speculation a few weeks ago. The Iran Air flight 655 Airbus was shot down on July 3, 1988 by the USS Vincennes over the Persian Gulf while en route from Dubai to Bandar Abbas. All 290 people on board died, more than the 259 who died at Lockerbie. Nobody was tried for that tragedy, and there was no apology. The US government paid a compensation of $ 61.8 million was paid at the Court of Justice, compared to the $2.7 billion offered for the families of Lokerbie victims. That comes to US$ 10.4 million per Lockerbie victim, and US$ 206.7 thousand per Iran Air victim. Clear proof that a white man is much more valuable than any other color, exactly 50.3 times more valuable.I recall Vice President George Bush (pere) speculated openly on that day whether the Iranians had deliberately shot down their own plane, killed their own people. There is something very Bush and very Texan in that type of analysis. And very contemptuous of other peoples and their cultures.

In a daily press briefing on July 2, 2008, the following set of questions and answers took place between an unidentified reporter and Department of State Spokesman Sean McCormack [1]:
QUESTION: Tomorrow marks the 20 years since the U.S. Navy warship Vincennes gunned down the IR655 civilian airliner, killing all 300 people on board, 71 of whom were children. And while the United States Government settled the incident in the International Court of Justice in 1996 at $61.1 million in compensation to the families, they, till this day, refuse to apologize –
MR. MCCORMACK: Mm-hmm.
QUESTION: – as requested by the Iranian Government. And actually, officials in the Iranian Government said today that they’re planning on a commemoration tomorrow and it would, you know, show a sign of diplomatic reconciliation if the United States apologized for this incident.
MR. MCCORMACK: Mm-hmm………………..” CounterPunch
