Bombers of Iraq, Trains of Egypt, Cows of Ranjipur………
“'Hitting a cow.' At least 18 people have been killed in a collision between two trains on the outskirts of the Egyptian capital, Cairo. Police said at least 36 others were wounded when the trains made contact on Saturday in the city of Al-Ayyat, southwest of Cairo….… Dozens of ambulances rushed to the scene, with rescue workers trying to use a crane to lift one wagon from on top of the other to extract more people from the trains. "The trains were travelling on the same track. One ran into the other as they headed towards Upper Egypt," a security official told the AFP news agency. Train accidents, collapsed buildings, passenger boat accidents, and truck crashes are nearly as common in Egypt as suicide terror bombings are in Iraq. Scores of people die in these accidents, often tens, sometimes hundreds die, and more wounded.
So, one train conductor hits a cow and, wracked by guilt, stops the train, so that the next train on the same line would have the chance to crash into it. Sounds Egyptian, But it could have been worse if it had happened in India. Maybe.
