Eyeless in Gaza: Arab Hypocrisy and the “Israeli” Siege


“The international campaign to lift the siege of Gaza has accelerated. It has succeeded to expose cruel Israeli treatments of Gaza residents.......More ships are being tied to break the siege.......The whole world, especially the Western public knows about Israeli........”

Talk about Arab hypocrisy.
What about making Arab public opinion aware of the plight of Gaza- not just Western opinion?
That may not be a good idea because then they will know that their own despots and dictators are active participants in what they accuse Israel of doing. True, the Arab despots did not bomb and shoot a few months ago, but they did just about everything else.

Egypt and the Arab oligarchs are full partners in the siege of Gaza. Yet not a word is mentioned here of that. Nothing of the role of Husni Mubarak in closing the Egyptian Rafah passage into Gaza. Israel is one guilty party; there are others, about 20 others in the Middle East.

If I were a crude person I'd be tempted to ask: "Are they F----ing serious, these Arabs?". But I am not crude, so I won't.
