On Arabs, Nobel Prizes, and Donations for a King's Campaign

Edification or bombast (my guess; it is B S)?:
For the first time in history an Arab party has been authorized to nominate writers for the Nobel Prize in literature. According to its chief, the Egyptian Writers Union is now authorized to nominate two writers for the prize. The president of the Egyptian Union said that he will nominate two authors each year, one Egyptian and one Arab…. He added that.….

One Egyptian, one Arab: maybe they can nominate a famous mummy. And I thought they had (sectarian) quotas only in Iraq these days- at least according to the claims of the media of the moderate New Middle East. Besides I was thinking of nominating my own candidate to the Swedish Academy.
I doubt the Nobel Academy will restrict nominations to such a body- I believe that the claim  of the Egyptian writers Union is caca de toro  (BS in American).

Speaking of Nobel candidates:
A prize, a prize, my kingdom for a prize.
Some royal flunkies have started a drive for their favorite Arab candidate for a Nobel Peace Prize. From their website, this group must be well-financed, although they are too shy to have their names posted. However, their favorite candidate knows who they are for certain. The funny part is, and get this, they are asking for donations from the public!
FYI: I also have one or two of my own candidates for the Peace prize.
Cheers
